Blog Topic:

So it is that time of the semester again in which many people ask if this is actually a real thing, and why is it called that? Well the answer is simple yes and S.H.A.G. Week stands for Sexual Health Awareness Week.

Which is exactly what goes on throughout the campus for the duration of the week. From the distribution of SHAG packs and plenty of event from comedy gigs to contests. More info can be found here http://su.nuigalway.ie/shag-sexual-health-awareness-guidance-week-2017/ .

Though there is the fun side to this week there is also the more important and serious aspect of sexual health. There will be consent workshops running throughout the week as well as plenty of information on STI’s including a clinic. So if you want to check any of this out just click on the link or if you're just after the free condoms look out for the welfare crew or just pop into the SU.

So to end this quick keep your eyes open for anything that might be of interest, get involved with the ongoing events and stay safe.
